Describe your show in 2-3 sentences: Take neuroses, paranoia and lack of sleep and you get weird. Follow Two Weird Ladies through a labyrinth of eccentric sketch comedy spun from reality, insanity, awkwardness and rage. Be prepared for a smart, fun, fast-paced show designed to self-destruct in 60 minutes.

What are the origins of this show? How did you start and what inspired you to create it?

Two Weird Ladies had decided we wanted to produce a full-length revue this year and applied to Fringe hoping the deadlines would help kick us into action. When we were randomly selected for a Fringe slot we screamed with joy, then realized we actually had to do a bunch of work and shared a panic attack. We expect that panic attack to stop sometime in early August. We’ve been writing and rewriting sketches for the last seven months and have created a lineup of material we feel works well together. Almost all our inspiration comes from weird or awkward real-life scenarios we find ourselves in. We try to take these scenarios and make them funny in an attempt to curb our rage issues.
What is the vibe of your room? Describe your current or ideal audience. We’re playing a cozy, 100-seat air-conditioned black box theatre. We expect a delightful variety of people from all walks of life to fill our audience, which is the wonderful thing about Fringe. And, as with most things, we’ll take what we can get.
